December 21: Blue Christmas Service (also called the Longest Night) will be held at 7 pm at SMM. This service, which will include the Eucharist, is traditionally held on the longest night of the year and is a chance for those who find the Advent/Christmas season difficult, who have lost loved ones or, are grieving other losses. It is also the traditional feast day of St Thomas the Apostle – which means that we are in good company with those for whom darkness makes it harder to believe in the Resurrection. It is a service of comfort and healing for those who are suffering.
