Celebration o f New Ministry to the Parish of the Holy Spirit/Paroisse du Saint-Esprit
The Venerable Linda Hill presided at the Celebration of New Ministry to the Parish of the Holy Spirit/ Paroisse du Saint-Esprit that took place on April 12, 2026 at St Mary Magdalene Church in Chelsea on the occasion of three former parishes: West Quebec, Chelsea-Lascelles-Wakefield, Christ Church (Aylmer), being amalgamated into one new parish comprised of the following churches: St Paul's (Shawville), Holy Trinity (Radford), St Stephen's (Buckingham) Holy Trinity (Danford Lake), St Mary Magdalene (Chelsea), Good Shepherd (Wakefield) , Holy Trinity (Lascelles) and Christ Church (Aylmer). Celebration of New Ministry April 12, 2026 4:00 p.m.
We will be celebrating the arrival of the Rev. Dr. Sony Jabouin as Associate Incumbent and the Rev. Dr. Caz Ducros as Incumbent of the new parish, "Parish of the Holy Spirit/ la Paroisse du St-Esprit". The celebration will take place at St Mary Magdalene Church (Chelsea). People from across the new parish are invited to join in the Service with a reception to follow.

Shrove Tuesday, February 17, 2026 Pancake Supper
Members of St Mary Magdalene Church (Chelsea), the Church of the Good Shepherd (Wakefield) , Grace United Church (Chelsea) and l'Eglise presbyterienne camerounaise gathered in the hall at St Mary Magdalene Church to share a pancake supper on Shrove Tuesday, February 17, 2026. Over 50 people enjoyed a meal of pancakes, sausages, bacon, baked beans, fruit salad and Cameroonian "beignets" .
