Ottawa Pastoral Care Training Program & Continuing Education Event 2021 – The Advanced Course in Pastoral Care starts in October. Four Zoom sessions explore:

· A Good Death: Healing Conversations at End of Life by Elspeth MacEwan; and
· Living Well, Staying Connected Spiritually by Hilary Murray.

Upcoming Ordinations: On Tuesday, June 29 at 7:30 p.m., Bishop Shane Parker will ordain Mark Lewis and Cynthia MacLachlan to the diaconate (transitional) in Christ Church Long Sault. The Reverend Canon Kevin Flynn will preach. Due to pandemic restrictions, in-person attendance is by invitation only. The service will be livestreamed.
“Where are the Children? Healing the Legacy of Residential Schools” – This summer, Fairbairn House in Wakefield will host an exhibit about residential schools, including photographs and text spanning more than 125 years and seven generations of Indigenous peoples in Canada.
