ASH WEDNESDAY SERVICE FEBRUARY 18, 2026
Joint Service with Grace United Church at St Mary Magdalene Church at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday , February 18, 2026 There will also be Ashes to Go, which includes a short and simple drop in service, that takes place in waves between 4:30 pm and 6:30 pm at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Wakefield. More information on the Ashes to Go service is attached in the Ash Wednesday and Lenten flyer. It is an excellent way to observe the first day of lent for those with busy schedules or whose schedules do not permit attending the morning service.

Christmas Services: December 24: Saint Mary Magdalene, Chelsea at 4 pm December 24: Holy Trinity, Lascelles at 7 pm December 24: Good Shepherd, Wakefield at 9 pm
BLUE CHRISTMAS SERVICE DECEMBER 18 at 7 p.m.
Blue Christmas Service will be held at 7 pm on December 18 at St Mary Magdalene Church (Chelsea). This service is a chance for those who find the Advent/Christmas season difficult, who have lost loved ones or are grieving other losses, to gather in mutual support, in prayer and reflection. It is also the traditional feast day of St Thomas the Apostle – which means that we are in good company with those for whom darkness makes it harder to believe in the Resurrection. It is a service of comfort and healing for those who are suffering.
