Every year Churches undertake Vestry meetings. These meetings are opento all parishioners. They follow an Order of Business that is outlined in thelinked Diocesan Regulations (R.5.05), which includes among other things,the reports from the Incumbent, the financial statements with Auditor’sreport, the adoption of the budget for the upcoming year, and theappointment and election of Church Wardens, Lay members of Synod, Parish Council, etc. https://ottawa.anglican.ca/ado-learning-commons-governance/ Everyone is encouraged to attend this very informative session and toapproach Rev. Feast of the Epiphany

Feast of the Epiphany

On January 6, 2025 members of the Parish of Chelsea-Lascelles-Wakefield gathered at St Mary Magdalene Church for a Twelfth Night Supper to celebrate the Feast of the Epiphany. Rev. Caz Ducros led a worship of Communion at the celebration.

Blue Christmas – December 21, 2024 at 7:00 p.m.

Blue Christmas – December 21, 2024 at 7:00 p.m.

December 21: Blue Christmas Service (also called the Longest Night) will be held at 7 pm at SMM. This service, which will include the Eucharist, is traditionally held on the longest night of the year and is a chance for those who find the Advent/Christmas season difficult, who have lost loved ones or, are grieving other losses.  It is also the traditional feast day of St Thomas the Apostle – which means that we are in good company with those for whom darkness makes it harder to believe in the Resurrection. It is a service of comfort and healing for those who are suffering.
