Special Prayer Service for Peace – October 17, 2023
Bishop Shane Parker has called up congregations to observe a time of fasting and prayer for peace. In our Parish of Chelsea- Lascelles-and -Wakefield there will be a special Service of prayer for peace that will take place at the Church of Good Shepherd in Wakefield at noon, on Tuesday, October 17, 2023. Archbishop Hosam Maoum, the archbishop for the Episcopal Church in Jerusalem and the Middle East sent Bishop Shane a prayer for peace.

Meditative Walk for Friendship
On June 10, 2023 Gilbert Whiteduck of Kitigan Zibi led a meditative walk to raise awareness of the history of the Algonquin Anishinabeg in this region and to celebrate the official naming of the community path, Nakwey amadiwin Mik `ans, as the first community trail in Chelsea to be named an Algonquin Anishinabeg name, meaning "Friendship Trail".
